In the story, Alex, Adam. and Zakie went to a store and everywhere are soaked. When I read it the image of the socked room appeared in my mind. I remember in my house when it was raining the water always got into the house. Everything on the floor is soaked. I hate when is raining, I always have to bring my bag and books on to the high place so they would not get wet. I have to dry the things which are soaked by water. Sometimes, it took me a half day to clean up just my room.
In the story so far, these three children went to a stored. Zakie did not want to go in because he feel there was something weird there. But, it was too late; he was already in the store which is soaked by water.

I think the summary is too short. I want to know more about your book.
Also, you always write about "something that reminds you". It's good; however, you can write different thing.
The connections you are trying to draw between your life and the book characters are hard to see. The book seems to trigger memories for you but the connections you make are sometimes a stretch.
